Once while going to Nellore by bus, when were near Tirupathi, one more bus was honking from behind. It chased us for around one km and overtook us and stopped before us. So we had to stop too..
Then the driver in that bus told the driver in our bus that some luggage has fallen from the top of our bus!
That is INDIA (or to be true, a part of India). Remaining part has become "civilized" and stopped helping neighbors. They are just interested in shopping, partying, jobs, salary! Who will take the pain of overtaking others and report that they lost something?
Then the driver sent the cleaner boy to get the fallen bags/luggage. And he met us back in the bus station and got scolded by the driver that he paid more for the auto! (Cleaner used an auto to carry the luggage to busstand)

English or Telugu
Hi all,
Posting after a loooooooong time....
Yeah, I was busy or lazy (to be precise) to write a blog.
This incident happened when I was coming from Nellore to Bangalore.
In a restroom, the gate keeper asked a person there for money....
That guy told gatekeeper "neeku roju cheppaaalaa? daily cheppalaa neeku?"
So India is becoming a English country :-(

CV Raman
Sir CV Raman way back in January 1954 gave up the pomp of a glittering Bharat Ratna award ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan stating that it was vital for him to be with his PhD student who was finishing the doctoral Thesis.
Human Touch - Bag
Three weeks before I was buying a luggage bag in Jayanagar. In the second shop, I bought a bag. While coming outside, an elder couple came to the shop. They took my bag and started seeing that. They know that I bought it, but still... this is India.
My friend pushed to leave and so they left my bag (hence me) and we are out.

Human Touch - utsav
One day I was coming through Indiranagar 80 ft road at 10:00p. It was Sri Rama navami that day and so celebrations were going on. On 80ft road, I came across ratham (chariot) (it is a tractor) carrying idols of Rama(I think so - It can be Hanuman too).
Before they entered the road, the traffic flow was normal. As soon as they entered they took up the left lane (from Old Madras Road to Road), and asked commuters to use the right half of the road. And everybody followed it.
There is no policeman, no redirection signs. A person there asked me and others to take the right lane and we did. In India, you can see such "flexible" scenes everywhere - road, shops, houses, schools, etc. (except in MNC companies)

What to do in life?
These days I am getting occupied with this question - What to do in life?
Do I have to aim at knowledge or money or comfort or name or internal piece . First one leads to MS, second one to MBA, third one demands continuing in the present job, fourth one to start a new company and the last to give up the job and join teaching/social service.
I need all but I can't get all of them at the same time (or atleast in the short span of 3-5 years) This confusion started long ago.. but never gave a thought. Now that I applied to MS/MBA and waiting for the results, I was forced to think about my future.
In the present life there is nothing interesting.. atleast in professional life.. No learning.. just writing programs.. Personal life is good.. friends..movies..wekeends. but how long I can bear this boring professional life and how long will the good personal life stays.....
* What is my area of interest?
* After doing MS / MBA, will I get job that satisfy me?
* After going to US, will I be happy?
* Will my friends stay with me (in the same city) forever?
* Do I have the job with me forever / till I want it?
* Where to settle in life - blore / hyd/ us / nellore?
* How will be my life partner - not looks.. but her thinking?
* If I take up MS/MBA, can I complete with good grades - with the existing low levels of enthu on studies?
The questions remain.....
May be I should get help from experienced fellows!
Cheers,

My new job
After a long gap I am writing something in my blog. I normally keep my friends updated with mails which bother them. :-) Also I am still not sure what the blogs are for?
But by seeing Suman's blog, I am writing this. Other reason is my manager is on leave today and there is no work to do :-))
This is my third job. First 2 years in STMicroelectronics, 3rd year in Intel. 4th year in Poseidon ( www.poseidon-systems.com). I thought there will be lot of work, but nothing so far. The infrastructure is ok. Soon I will be getting a new computer, definitely it will be better than existing one. (It says P3 outside but it is less than 1GHz). After I get, I have to install all s/w again (Firefox, Wondicon, Google Earth, Bibirmer toolbar, Vim, Baraha, Winamp, Real, MWSnap, Yahoo Msgr, GTalk, etc)
I was told that I will be modelling a DMA controller - got a small pdf (22 pages). Nothing much in that. Waiting to have a talk with manager to clarify something. Also waiting for new computer to install all software and work faster. This computer with useless keyboard and mouse is decreasing my efficiency (This is a false statement. How can one go below 0! ) Checking all mails and replying to all. This is current job. In between I am downloading songs from Mohankumars.com. It have all the songs you want. The -ve is it is Tamil. He he hee)

An eye-opener
This incident happened while I was in Penang.
Sometimes we went out for lunch along with Nayan, a permanent employee there. One day after lunch Nayan went to bank for some job and we (Vishant and I) followed him.
While we were waiting for our turn, I saw a person withdrawing money at the teller. It seems he was an illiterate because he used thumb as signature. After applying ink, instead of taking a fresh paper to clean it, he took a partial used one. Even though, he don't know how to write his name, he reused a paper. He simply used his common sense, nothing more.
Please think about this for a moment. We, educated and high-class people, who never used a paper napkins in childhood, suddenly got changed because corporates provide them for free. We don't use the ones which have just fallen down and no need to talk about partially used ones!

My first blog!
Don't wonder whether it is first or second. What I meant was 'First blog which makes sense".
In this I want to add some incidents which changed my life. As many know, I have some amnesia, I can't recollect all of them.
One of my favourite dish is 'వాంగీబాత్' (vangibath) - bath made of brinjal, rice and other stuff. When my mother makes it we will have it for breakfast and also for lunch. We had a 3-box carriage for each person. On that day I had all the 3 boxes fill with vangibath. During lunch, Harsha, a friend, asked for some. But I didn't give as he didn't give me some thing long ago when I asked him. In the evening, I told my mother this incident. Then she said "Giving in return to something is not great, but giving when they haven't given is something of value". It didn't have any +ve impact then, but had a small stamp in my mind.
It is not that just this occasion influenced my mind, but this along with others had left a soft corner towards others in my heart!
